Tuesday, October 287:00—8:00 PMZoomRockport Public Library17 School Street, Rockport, MA, 01966

Learn how one of humanity's oldest psychological quirks secretly influences nearly every decision we make. Take a deep dive into anthropomorphism -- the human tendency to attribute human-like thoughts, feelings, and intentions to non-human things. Explore the science behind one of the most powerful -- but rarely talked about -- cognitive biases influencing our thoughts.

Led by scientist and bestselling writer Justin Gregg, author of the new book, Humanish: What Talking to Your Cat or Naming Your Car Reveals About the Uniquely Human Need to Humanize. Gregg is a Senior Research Associate with the Dolphin Communication Project and an Adjunct Professor at St. Francis Xavier University, where he lectures on animal behavior and cognition.
