Explore the magnificent cathedral cities of Reims, Metz, and Strasbourg before heading into the heart of Alsace, with its blend of French and German cultures. Take a van tour along La Route des Vins, through medieval fairytale villages and to the castle of Haut Koenigsbourg in the Vosges Mountains. The trip continues to Mulhouse and its national automobile and railroad museums, the largest in the world. Finally, enjoy quick train trip to Freiburg in Germany’s Black Forest. 

Led by Alison Simcox and Douglas Heath. Simcox is an environmental scientist, local historian, and author. She works at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) specializing in air quality. Heath is a hydrogeologist and local historian who formerly worked at EPA specializing in drinking water in New England. They have co-authored five books on the history of Boston's North Shore and two trail guides.
