Enjoy an evening with Ted Reinstein as he discusses his book “New England's General Stores: Exploring an American Classic”. Ted Reinstein has been a reporter for “Chronicle,” WCVB-TV/Boston’s award-winning—and America’s longest-running, locally-produced—nightly news magazine since 1997. In addition, he is a regular contributor for the station’s political roundtable show and sits on WCVB’s Editorial Board.

Ted’s books have ranged from a collection of his favorite stories culled from over twenty years of reporting (New England Notebook/2013), to a guide to the region’s most famous—and long-running—feuds. (Wicked Pissed/2016). His most recent book, New England’s General Stores: Exploring an American Classic (2017) tells the history of this iconic piece of Americana, and how some of the most colorful and beloved of these old landmarks are unexpectedly finding new life in the big-box store era.
