Summer Reading Event: Rescue Readers With Cape Ann Animal Aid
Wednesday, June 301:00—3:00 PMZoomRockport Public Library17 School Street, Rockport, MA, 01966
Want to help local shelter animals AND do your summer reading? Join the Rockport Public Library and Cape Ann Animal Aid for "Rescue Readers", a weekly program where you can sign up to read to cats, kittens, dogs, or puppies that are waiting to be adopted. This is a great opportunity for you to practice (or even show off!) your reading skills, and to help socialize and acclimate these amazing animals to human voices. By the end of the session, you might even make a new fur friend!
Please note: All sessions will take place via Zoom and readers who sign up will be assigned 15 minute time slots between 1 and 3pm on the day the program takes place.
We are thankful for Summer Reading 2021 program partners and sponsors, such as Cape Ann Animal Aid and Bean & Leaf Café and The Ice Cream Store.
“Tails and Tales” Statewide Summer Library Program is sponsored by Rockport Public Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Institute of Museum and Library Services with support from the National Women’s Hockey League team Boston Pride.
Registration for this event has now closed.
