Learn about the animator Lottie Reiniger, a pioneer of silhouette animation and create your own shadow box theater. Using a story you already know, or one from your imagination, you'll make silhouettes of characters and props. The theater will be lit from behind by the light on a smartphone or flashlight.

Materials:

Kits for this class are provided by the library and may be picked up anytime after registration. Please bring the kit to class and the following materials:

• Pencil
• Markers
• Glue Stick
• Tape – clear or masking
• Scissors
• Flashlight or cell phone (use flashlight on phone)
