The Rockport League of Women Voters invites you to the Brenner Room at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 18 for a talk by renowned author Dianne Finch.

We often feel powerless after hearing about the latest floods, droughts, fires and other disasters related to climate change.

But today our focus is not on such events. Instead we want to look at actions we can take as individuals—at home and as part of our community—to reduce fossil fuel use.

There are affordable small steps such as how we maintain lawns or dry our clothes – to larger steps such as taking advantage of government rebates and grants for buying electric cars to insulation and electrifying our homes and town buildings.

Let’s talk about what can be done now.
