The Rockport Civic League invites all residents to share your Private Way story at our meeting on Wednesday11/19/25, at the Library from 6-6:45 in person or on Zoom.

The RCL offers its platform to discuss the plan of action you sent by November 1st for Town approval. After hearing from the Town, the next scheduled date is December 1st, when the Action will take place before snowplowing, pending full approval by the Town. However, first, your Private way must include applications for any town-required permits from Town Boards or Commissions, as well as the Building Department.

If you live on a private way and did not receive a Town letter about snowplowing you are also invited to ask your questions of those Private way residents who did in 2024 and 2025. We are sure more letters are coming for 2026.

All Private Ways have common road services that must be repaired to prevent Town or Contracted snowplowing equipment and DPW or Contracted workers from being injured.
