Notable Fiction will be reading and discussing Elinor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. Set in contemporary Glasgow, the story follows quirky twenty-nine-year-old Eleanor Oliphant, a highly educated but lonely, isolated, and socially awkward young woman. Eleanor works days as a clerk at a graphic design firm and her weekends alone drinking vodka, eating frozen pizza, and obsessing over pop-stars.  Eleanor forms an unexpected bond with Raymond, a disheveled IT worker from her office.  Together they rescue Sammy Thom, an elderly man who has collapsed in the street. The three grow closer, their isolation fades, they are open to deeper relationships….  []
