Saturday, October 263:00—4:00 PMBrenner RoomRockport Public Library17 School Street, Rockport, MA, 01966
As librarians, we believe our job is to protect your freedom to read, but what do you believe?
Lily Goldman - A Rockport native, former Toad Hall employee, and passionate literary activist, Lily has over 20 years experience working for big, name-brand publishers. Lily is patient, pragmatic, and has a deep understanding of the publishing industry. She will help moderate an honest and open discussion about the censorship of books in our libraries today.
In this discussion, Lily will weave together thought-provoking prompts to help clarify your stance on censorship and which books should be on our library's shelves. Come ready to enjoy a candid discussion about books and our freedom to read. For more information on banned books and censorship read our recent blog post.
