Pack of Lies by Hugh Whitemore

This play is based on an actual couple guilty of spying for the Russians in England. Whitemore originally wrote it as a documentary drama sticking close to facts. Later he wrote this version in which he could imagine the characters and themes in more depth. He states that he became increasingly preoccupied with the role of the ordinary citizen in our society.
