Join us for a unique art program led by the prolific painter and printmaker, Baraka Robin Berger.  Learn about archetypes that represent our ancestral foremothers, spiritual icons, and women of history while also discovering how to color with intention.  Baraka will guide participants using simple techniques, visualizations, and easy practices to assist in coloring the archetype chosen.  Coloring in this way can be a calming, joyful, and even meditative experience, which is especially comforting during times of chaos and stress.

No experience necessary.  All art supplies provided.

About Baraka: Baraka Robin Berger is a painter/printmaker living in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Graduating from Boston University’s School of Fine Arts in 1970, her work has been a journey from the traditional to the mystical.  You can view her work here. Baraka believes that beauty is essential to our well-being. The intention behind her artwork is to bring beauty into life as a healing force. Her Emerging Goddesses, Mystical Landscapes and Personal Energy Portraits have been collected by healing professionals and shown in galleries throughout the country.

Baraka began painting images of the sacred feminine in the early 1990s and spoke here earlier this year about what led her on this path and to the Women of the Celts work she has dedicated herself to over the past decade. Baraka's images are created with a mixed-media monotype process that she uses to bring forth her Celtic women of history and myth. Baraka's belief is that we each can use archetypal beings in our own lives for growth and inspiration.

“I hold the belief that if we simply surround ourselves with beauty, we will learn to expect it. Out of this expectation we will turn around and create more beauty. What’s possible is this: The world will become a magnificent place.”
