"Enchanted Gardens: Decked Out for the Holidays" 

Pots with Pizzazz. Jazzy containers are the “jewelry” of a garden, elevating it from “good” to “great”! Learn how to brighten shady spots with pops of color, create focal points for vistas and welcoming entry gardens with stunning container groupings.

"Visit magnificently decorated conservatories and mansions and beautifully lit gardens during the holiday season! This presentation includes Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, Newport Mansions, Blithewold, and others.

Jana Milbocker is the principal of Enchanted Gardens, a lecturer, and an author. She combines horticulture, design, and travel tips to educate, inspire and delight both new and seasoned gardeners. Jana loves to visit gardens and historic sites in the U.S. and abroad. The 2-acre garden surrounding her Victorian home features more than 140 varieties of trees and shrubs, perennial gardens, peony and rose beds, water features and shady retreats.

Trained as a graphic designer, Jana brings years of critical design thinking, clarity and cohesiveness to her landscape solutions. Her professional experience includes twenty five years as an art director and designer. Jana holds a BFA from Syracuse University, an MBA from Boston College, and coursework in horticulture and landscape design.

This program is the result of a collaboration between several local libraries and was funded by a generous donation from he Friends of the Rockport Library.
