About the Presenter
Anita Pandolfe Ruchman NP, a local grief therapist /bereaved parent has worked for 50 years in the healing arts as a massage therapist, RN, midwife, childbirth educator, and now as a psychiatric nurse practitioner/holistic psychotherapist.
After the sudden death of her daughter in 2010, Anita took a two-year grief sabbatical during which she practiced quietude and explored the areas of grief and bereavement. She’s been facilitating grief support groups and retreats ever since. In the last several years she has become certified in thanatology, haulage breath work, and ketamine assisted psychotherapy. Her work is informed by many years of practicing Tibetan Buddhism resulting in her providing guidance and instruction in meditation and mindfulness practices.
In her Rockport private practice, “A TENDER PLACE”, Anita utilizes a unique, holistic, nursing approach to mental health specializing in loss, grief, and major life challenges. She provides clients with tools to deal with distress, anxiety, and depression, and offers consultation regarding psychiatric medications and alternatives to medication.
